Hello All,
Welcome to my very first post! I'm excited to have an outlet here, and I'd love to get started by introducing myself: I just turned 27, and have recently found myself in the funemployment circle. I have worked in publishing for roughly eight years, and now, I have all the time in the world, which is strange.
Since I became unemployed, I have traveled a bit, seen family, friends, and places I had never been to before--all exciting things! But alas, now I must stay in the great city of Chicago for a bit. One of my favorite things to do in Chicago is to walk around and explore the different neighborhoods. I will definitely post pictures for everyone when I go on my littler perambulations across the city. Please don't judge the quality of the photos, however! I am no expert photographer and have had no training, but it's fun to do anyways. . .
I should also mention to you all the reason behind this blog. With all the time that I have on my hands now, I sometimes wonder what I should be doing. I don't know if anyone else who is unemployed feels like they are aimlessly wandering, or if anyone who is employed for that matter, but I wanted to create a place where people can discuss the things that create meaning in their lives outside of their jobs, etc.
For example, I enjoy writing, and reading, and walking, and hanging out with my dog, Morky (oh the beautiful Morky). All of you will be very familiar with him in due time.
Anyways, I am going to work out, and then I will try to post tomorrow. Have a great, fulfilled day! And thank you to anyone who is reading my blog--I guarantee that it will be a lot more exciting once I get it going.
